We were here for the Odyssey of the mind competition. Just Google randomly and found a Japanese restaurant. We ordered 3 sets (rice and meat) and 1 ramen (noodles ) The food is yummy! We went there again for Sushi (take away) on the next day. It's delicious too! Highly recommended if you want something in Japanese style.

The miso soup and shrimp tempura were our favorite starters. I got a spicy pork ramen bowl bear roll and my wife got their angel wing roll and California roll. We will definitely be coming back in the future.

Whoever thought of the mozzarella crab Rangoon is an absolute genius!! I wanted to try a new restaurant for my birthday today and was not disappointed. The food was amazing! We got the spicy miso Ramen 10/10 would recommend and the lemon salmon bento box 10/10 would also recommend and to top off the night we got the specialty casino roll (sushi) that was absolutely delicious! Again 10/10 would recommend! I would eat here again in a heart beat and for everything we got it was priced very well our dinner cost 46 tip. The staff was also super nice! Great environment in the restaurant as well! If you are looking for some where new to try definitely give this place a shot!

We ordered Veggie Spicy Miso Ramen and Cucumber, Avocado & Cream Cheese Sushi Roll. Both the dishes were very tasty. The ambiance is also good. Also, located in a very convenient place.

The atmosphere is classy yet unpretentious, welcoming to both date nights and casual dinners with friends. The food is excellent no matter what you choose, with the ramen being hearty and incredibly flavorful and the specialty rolls being carefully crafted. For those in the Ames area seeking well priced Japanese fare, Ichiban will quickly become a go to spot.

New Sushi in Ames. It has taken a while for this place to open and it was well worth the wait. The Ramen is really good with a depth of flavor and plenty of ingredients. The Sushi is really fresh and clean tasting. This is going to be one of those places we go back to again and again.

I know authentic ramen, and this place has it. I've struggled to find good Japanese food in Iowa. Yet alone good, authentic ramen. Inchiban blew me away - the ramen was absolutely fantastic, even better than highly rated places in Chicago. My girlfriend and I had a fantastic meal with our ramen, sweet potato rolls and good service. Although I do recommend preparing for a wait. They also have a great Japanese beer selection. I had a headache choosing between Sapporo and Asahi!

The environment was soo good. The food was delicious, didn't have to wait for long. I'm in love with Ichiban ramen.you get soo much food. The chatsu pork makes me feel like I'm in naruto lol. Its only 11 which is great for students.
